Our Books

We have written three books about the journey of recovery we have been on ever since our abuse ended. Our first book in 2011 was called ‘Click Click’ and in 2020 was re-published under a new title ‘Our Fathers Secrets’.   This book took over twenty years to write and was very difficult for us. It often required leaving aside for months and years at times before we felt able to return to it.  The main focus of ‘Click Click’ was the telling of our story of abuse.

The second book called ‘Why Go Back? 7 Steps to Healing from Childhood Sexual Abuse’ came into being as a direct result of people constantly asking for information, we didn’t possess at the time.

‘Why Go Back? took approximately six years to complete but was so necessary and we are so grateful to have “gone there”.

In our third book, an audio book ‘The Grip of Childhood Sexual Abuse’ we hope to provide a picture of what childhood sexual abuse can look like in a family setting, the silence and secrecy that surround it, the unspoken rules that enable the abuse to flourish. 

Finally we hope to demonstrate the depths of the damage of childhood sexual abuse empowering other victims to speak openly and freely about the details of what happened to them.  

We ultimately want to create change and contribute to the eradication of childhood sexual abuse. But we know that change cannot occur unless we all come together and create a new paradigm where sexual abuse is responded to appropriately and justly.  This will only happen if we face the reality of what childhood sexual abuse is, what it looks like and exactly how deeply and irreparably it impacts a human being.

We want to normalise the conversation surrounding all things sexual abuse, and support both victims and survivors globally to come forward. 

Childhood sexual abuse remains one of the most under reported crimes in the world.

Its time this changed!
